Dec.10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Homosexuality continues to be a touchy topic even in progressive first world countries. While some states of the USA offer legal acceptance of gay and lesbian people, the majority are still to come to terms with the concept of same sex union.
That explains why a lot of members of US congress are trying to persuade President Barack Obama to remove pro-homosexual activist Kevin Jennings from the post of the head of the safe schools. They have launched an online campaign seeking his ouster and it can be found at the website named StopJennings.org. The site contains the reasons that make them think Kevin Jennings is unfit to do his job.
Reports erupted last week that GLSEN, a homosexual advocacy group led and founded by Kevin Jennings was involved in distribution of materials that contain descriptions of child sexual abuse and explicit sexual act guides. The opponents of Kevin Jennings urged President Barack Obama to remove him, as he was guilty of using his position and power to promote homosexual agenda among school kids. They also said that alternate sexuality is not unnatural but giving illicit sexual guidebooks to school children should not be tolerated under any pretext.
However, the supporters of Kevin Jennings are not sitting idle either. They have retaliated by providing evidences online that most of the claims are falsified. The supporters of GLSEN replied that the entity was not involved in distributing pornography among school kids. GLSEN was set up by Kevin Jennings in the 1990s and it offers scientific and unbiased information to students about sexual orientation as well as gender identity.
