Fox News presenter Glenn Becks created quite a lot of flutter when he embarked on a “Obama lashing” trip, using his show as a platform, to air his views. A trait for which the popular news caster has also been termed as racist, many a times. Beck had also posed to be the US President’s biggest opponent regarding the health care reform plans and has been leading a vehement propaganda against the campaign from the time it had dawned on to the political scenario.
However, this time, many feel that he has crossed the line of his profession, when he had made the comment, “This president is a guy who has exposed himself over and over again who has deep-seated hatred for white people.. This guy is, I believe, a racist.”
A statement for which, he might have stirred the hornet’s nest. According to reports, it seems like a lot of the sponsors for the show has pulled off and snapped all links with Beck’s name because of the complaints that have been filed by the viewers, in relation to Beck’s comment. They have reportedly taken offense to the fact that Beck had insulted President Obama when he had issued such statements as calling him “deep- seated racist” and “hating the white people.”
According to the reports of the Huffington post, companies like the NexisLexis owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance are some of the names featured in the list of those sponsors, who have expressed to severe all professional and financial ties with the show that is aired on the Fox network.
