Gibbs Claims Obama Hasn’t Smoked in 9 Months
December 29th, 2010 - 1:17 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonDec 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to a report from ‘CBS” news, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has claimed that the President of the United States of America has finally quit smoking. Gibbs told reporters a few weeks ago that he had not seen the president with a cigarette since March of 2010. he went on to say in an interview with ‘CNN’ that Obama, “has done enormously well in quitting.”
As the Press Secretary continued in his interview for ‘CNN’s State of the Union’, he stated, “It was a commitment that I think he made to himself at the end of the health care and with his two daughters in mind.”
“This is not something he’s proud of,” Gibbs said of Obama’s smoking habit. “He knows it’s not good for him.”
Gibbs also Tweeted the news, posting, “POTUS hasnt’ [sic] had a cigarette in about 9 months.” The Press Secretary added that Obama still chews Nicorette gum, but that this is the longest he has ever seen the president go without a cigarette.
