Get Sarabjeet or hang Afzal, says Bajrang DalMarch 17th, 2008 - 11:58 pm ICT by admin
Bhopal, March 17 (IANS) Members of Hindu outfit Bajrang Dal Monday took out a rally here, demanding release of Indian national Sarabjeet Singh on death row in a Pakistani jail. The demonstrators burnt the flag of Pakistan, and said if it doesn’t release Sarabjeet Singh, then Afzal Guru, the main accused in attack on parliament, should also be hanged immediately.
“Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has turned down the mercy plea of Sarabjeet despite the fact he is innocent and the government is sitting with its fingers crossed,” said Bajrang Dal Bhopal district convenor Chandrashekhar Tiwari.
“The Indian government should pressure Pakistan with full might to secure the release of Sarabjeet, and if they don’t agree Afzal should be hanged without delay,” Tiwari demanded.
