Gabrielle Giffords Arrives At Texas Medical Center On Friday

Jan 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) U.S Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has been transferred smoothly to the Texas Medical Center. The Democratic leader who was shot on the head in January 8 during the fretful shooting spree at Tucson while she was attending a meet-and-greet conference at a grocery store, has been showing signs of progress. As the leader was taken to the airport on Friday, thousands of supporters were seen gathering on the streets, all eager to convey their prayers and support for Gabrielle Giffords.
According to sources, who were attending the leader in the ambulance said that as the noise in the streets flooded her ears, it brought an instant smile on her face. There was no stopping for the U.S Representative as she knew in her heart that she had the full support of the people. The leader had to undergo a trip of a two hour flight from Tucson, after which a short helicopter ride made her arrive at the Texas Medical Center. Dr. Randall Friese, who has operated Gabrielle Giffords said that the trip was smooth and gave the leader no trouble. On Friday afternoon at a press conference in Memorial Hermann doctors announced that her physical therapy was slated to begin from 4:30 p.m and she ill be remaining at the ICU.
Gabrielle Giffords along the doctors also had her husband Mark Kelly and her mother present with her during her transfer to the Texas hospital in Houston. Her supporters breathed a sigh of relief after doctors announced that with every passing day Gabrielle Giffords was showing signs of progress at the University Medical Center, Tucson. Her husband was also recently seen tweeting that he was grateful to each and every staff of the UMC, Tucson mentioning that his wife would very soon go to the next step towards her recovery.
