A few days back it was reported that a fifth of the US population thinks the President is Muslim though the belief is not correct. It was found in a recent poll. The White House has lashed out at the people who have questioned the Christian faith of the president and in a recent statement it said that he is a devout Christian and prays regularly. Bill Burton the White House spokesman said on Friday that the famed Evangelical leader is entitled to his personal opinion on the issue but there is no denying the fact that the President believes in Christianity. He also told the media that the mass is aware of the religious faith of the president irrespective of what some others might be saying.

Bill Burton also said in his statement that only because the president does not go to church on Sundays it would be wrong to conclude that he does not pray. He does avoid going to mass congregation for people’s inconvenience and security reasons according to him.
