Four barred from civic polls in Bihar
April 11th, 2012 - 8:35 pm ICT by IANSPatna, April 11 (IANS) Four candidates have been barred from contesting Bihar’s civic polls next month for having more than two children.
A.B. Pandey of the state Election Commission identified the four as Rehana Khatoon, Kanti Devi, Arun Ravidas and Rukhsana Khatoon.
According to the amended Bihar Municipal Act 2007, any elected representative of any civic body may face disqualification if he or she has more than two children.
