Former Haryana MP Chiranji Lal dead
December 12th, 2011 - 12:53 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Dec 12 (IANS) Four-time former Congres MP Chiranji Lal Sharma Monday morning passed away in a private hospital in Gurgaon. He was 88.
Sharma, who died of old-age related ailments, was father of Haryana assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma.
He was Lok Sabha MP from Karnal seat four times. A leading Brahmin leader in the Jat dominated Haryana politics, he was elected in 1972, 1980, 1984 and 1989.
His cremation will take place Monday afternoon in Sonipat, 190 km from here.
