Barack Obama Sep 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Thursday, the first significant changes in the new health care law of the United States of America will begin to take effect. This wave of coverage changes will include such things as the exclusion of children who have pre-existing conditions from being insured. This will no longer be allowed. Young adult citizens will also be allowed to stay on the parent’s insurance policies until the age of 26, according to the new “Obama Health Care Plan”.

Several other parts of the law, the most controversial ones, will not take place until 2014. This was timed out in order to be well after the elections. For example, it is after 2014, that every United States citizen will be required by law to purchase health insurance, no matter whether they want it, or can afford it, or not. They call this “providing insurance” for 30 million more Americans.

On the other hand, the more consumer-friendly parts of the law were timed to come into effect around the midterm elections. Aside from the provision which were made for children, insurers will also no longer be allowed to drop members if they become sick or accidentally make mistakes on their applications. Preventative services will also be covered by insurance now.
