Washington, Aug 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The non partisan image of the first lady of the USA may take a beating if she starts campaigning for the Democratic candidates in near future. However, if everything goes as planned she may enter partisan politics soon. The democratic veterans are hoping to use her popularity to boost the prospects of some candidates in an election season marred by many shortcomings. However, the White House officials have made it clear that her schedule would not be hectic in nature. She would not make public appearances for the campaign more than thrice a week as it has been reported. Her campaign plan and route will be made in such a way that it does not overlap with that of both the president Barack Obama and vice president Joe Biden.
In all probability Michelle Obama will refrain from lashing out at individual Republican candidates. On the contrary she will try to focus on the legislative successes of her spouse. She will not deliver any hard hitting partisan speech as it will not go down well with her image among the mass. A lot of candidates in the party have said they want her to visit their states and constituencies. Sen. Barbara Boxer who is facing competition from republican opponent Carly Fiorina has asked the first lady to come and campaign for her.
Joe Sestak the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate candidate would also like her to visit. The political veterans are skeptical of the success of her inclusion in campaigning. However, they also agree her popularity with women’s magazines may help her in striking a chord with the women voters.
