Manmohan Singh Kolkata, Aug 17 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee cancelled his trip to New Delhi for the internal security conference of chief ministers convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday due to ill-health.
The chief minister was down with fever for the last few days and was still very weak, said an official in his secretariat.

Despite his ill-health, Bhattacharjee had toured West Midnapore district last week.

On Sunday, he had skipped the memorial meeting for Subhas Chakraborty, the senior leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and minister, who died Aug 3.
