According to the sources, Farah Pandith was sworn in as the first US Special Representative to the Muslim Communities as the part of the Obama administration’s effort to build up a healthy and peaceful relationship with the Islamic world. Farah, on being sworn as the first representative of its kind said that she would try to solve the “pressing” problems that are being faced by the Muslims.
Hillary Clinton “has asked me to find ways to build strong partnerships and create new connections and join together with grass roots organizations to carry out the positive change,” said Pandith after swearing to the Koran in order to carry out her tasks that are appointed to her.
“Under the leadership of Secretary Clinton, the Department of State is recalibrating the way in which we work with the Muslim communities around the world. Through this office, we will engage Muslim communities to solve collaboratively the most pressing problems facing these communities around the world,” said Pandith revealing her plans on building up a soothing relationship with the Islamic world.
The feud between the US and the Muslim nations have been raging over the years, with the Bush administration adding fuel to the fire during its stint in the White House. It has been the newly elected President Barack Obama, who took a step forward to build up a peaceful relationship with the Islamic world in order to maintain world peace.
The 41 year old Pandith, whose roots hail from Jammu and Kashmir, India, is the first Special Representative to Muslim Communities of the United States.
