Ex-Argentina President Nestor Kirchner Passes Away At 60

Oct 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Argentina citizens were in a “state of shock” when it was confirmed that the former President of the country, Nestor Kirchner passed away after suffering a sudden heart attack. The media outlets reported that Nestor Kirchner went under knife in September for his heart problems in the southern Argentine city of El Calafate. His wife and the current President of the country Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has not yet given any official statement after her husband’s death. Nestor Kirchner was likely a candidate for next Presidential election.
The death of the former President of Argentina has brought in a wave of sorrow in the country. The Argentine Football Association has called off all the matches following the death of such a prominent politician of the country. Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez expressed his condolence at the sudden demise of Nestor Kirchner by saying that the country has already announced three days of “mourning”. He even called Nestor Kirchner as a “soldier” and “patriot” and paid his tribute to Nestor Kirchner. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has also expressed his condolence and said that he was “deeply saddened” by the death of Nestor Kirchner. He also said that Nestor Kirchner’s death is a significant loss to Argentina and other regions as well.
Chilean President Sebastian Pinera has also said that Nestor Kirchner’s death is a loss to Argentina and all other Latin America regions. He also said that Nestor Kirchner dedicated all his life to public service and welfare of people. US President Barack Obama expressed his condolence on behalf of the whole states and maintained that Michelle Obama and his thoughts and prayers are with President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and their children.
