Washington DC, Nov 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Election Day in USA is the first Tuesday, after the first Monday in November. The earliest possible date could be November 2 and the latest could be November 8. Every four years, on this particular Election Day, registered voters in the United States cast their votes for presidential electors. Collectively, these electors form the Electoral College. And the number of electors per state is equal to the number in its Congressional delegation.
Whereas, elections to the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate are held every two years.
So this year the Election Day is on 3rd November. On this particular Election Day, the main focus is on three particular elections as we see Virginia and New Jersey both having a race to become Governor. The final and probably most talked about election race is the U.S. House election in New York, which was formally held by Rep. John McHugh (R-NY), who went on to become Secretary of the Army.
