Edward Kennedy To Have Boston Funeral

2_obit_ted_kennedysffAccording to sources, the late US Senator, Edward Kennedy, who died on late Tuesday night after reportedly succumbing to a brain tumor will have his funeral at Boston and will be buried at the Arlington National Cemetery.

The lifeless body of the Senator will travel two hours from his Cape Cod home to Boston where it will lie in repose for a couple of days before the burial which is going to take place at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. A family spokesman announced on Wednesday that Kennedy’s lifeless body will pass through the areas that were dear as well as significant for him. The hearse would reportedly move towards the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on Thursday.

Inside sources reveal that the Senator’s family plans to travel by motorcade with his body from their compound in Cape Cod. to all the way to Boston. It is said that the public can pay their homage to the Senator within a short period of time when his body will lie in repose at Boston. Reports say that the Kennedy’s have thought of holding a private memorial service at the library on Friday night, according to a list of events that has been released by Kennedy’s Senate Office.

On Saturday morning, the funeral Mass for the Senator is supposed to take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica. The burial service will be taking place at the Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday afternoon.

Kennedy will be buried alongside his slain brothers, John and Robert Kennedy.
