Early celebrations at Congress headquarters
May 16th, 2009 - 11:10 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 16 (IANS) It may be premature but jubilant Congress workers started bursting crackers and dancing to drumbeats Saturday morning as early trends indicated that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was leading over the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Scores of Congress supporters descended at the Congress headquarters in Akbar Road. About one-and-a-half hours into counting, celebrations broke out with chants of “Jai Ho”.
