Duchess Kate’s school occupied by squatters
August 18th, 2012 - 7:18 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 18 (IANS) The former public school of Duchess Kate has been occupied by a group of travellers, who have set up an illegal camp in the playing fields.
A convoy of half a dozen caravans and nine other vehicles, including lorries and horseboxes, have occupied the fields at the 30,000 pounds-a-year Marlborough College, Wiltshire, the Daily Express reported.
The travellers, who drove straight through the gates, told police they will not leave the school after they were evicted from a site in Newbury, Berkshire.
The Duchess of Cambridge was captain of the school hockey team when she attended during the 1990s.
