Donald Trump to decide on presidential run by June
February 11th, 2011 - 8:30 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattWashington DC, Feb 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Donald Trump told the crowd at the CPAC conference that he will decide in June whether he would be running for the Presidency in 2012.
The business tycoon and the TV reality magnate told the crowd that if he gets to become the President of the United States, he would restore “respect” back to America.
Trump told the crowd in Washington, D.C. that, “While I’m not at this time a candidate for the presidency, I will decide by June whether or not I will become one.”
Before he even gets to decide on whether he will be running, Trump said that he would repeal the health care law if he gets the chance to become the leader of the United States. To lay credence to his claims as one of the best people to lead the United States, Trump talked about his achievements as an entrepreneur.
The lowlight of his speech definitely have to be his personal assessment of Rep. Ron Paul. Paul is highly tipped to enter the GOP race in 2012. Trump however doesn’t believe that the Texas congressman could make the mark at the 2012 election.
Trump said “I like Ron Paul, but honestly he has just zero chance of getting elected. You have to win an election.” The comment got both applause and boos from the audience.
