Dikshit tells civic agencies to gear up for monsoon
June 13th, 2011 - 11:54 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 13 (IANS) With the monsoon around the corner, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Monday directed all civic agencies in the capital city to gear up to tackle problems of water-logging, flooding and damaged roads.
Dikshit directed the constitution of a committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Praveen K. Tripathi to monitor all matters relating to water-logging and flooding.
She also directed the private power distribution companies to ensure continuous power supply to pumping stations of civic agencies during monsoon to tackle water-logging.
