Dikshit meets MLAs to discuss Delhi development issues
January 10th, 2011 - 9:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Monday met legislators and officials to discuss various development issues and to ensure “uniform development” across the capital.According to a statement, Dikshit met MLAs from east Delhi, northeast Delhi, the chief secretary, principal secretaries, officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) in two separate meetings.
“The MLAs cutting across party lines stressed the need for accelerating the developmental process. They concentrated on issues concerning the Delhi Development Authority, MCD, DJB, education, transport, health, urban development, social welfare and regularisation of unauthorised colonies,” the statement said.
The chief minister will meet the MLAs from the other five parliamentary constituencies of the capital over the next two-three days, it added.
