New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Tuesday met union Home Minister P. Chidambaram over the transfer of five senior IAS officers of the city government and said later the issue had been “sorted out”. Dikshit met Chidambaram at his North Block office Tuesday morning seeking review of Friday’s transfer order, saying it will affect the budget-making process.
After the meeting she said the issue has been “sorted out”, but declined to comment on whether the transfer orders have been revoked.
The home ministry on Friday transferred five top officials — Transport Commissioner R.K. Verma, Industries Commissioner Chetan Sanghi, Principal Secretary (Public Works Department) K.K. Sharma, Delhi Jal Board CEO Ramesh Negi and Commissioner of Trade and Taxes Jalaj Srivastava.
Dikshit was upset with the home ministry transferring IAS officers in Delhi without consulting the city government.
