New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS) Firing a fresh salvo at Anna Hazare and his team, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh Wednesday questioned their stand on reservation and the inclusion of Dalit tribals and Muslims in their committee.
Commenting on micro-blogging site Twitter, the Congress leader also questioned if the activists had a political aim.
“Anna and (Arvind) Kejriwal should clarify what is their stand regarding reservation. Both have opposed reservation publicly,” Digvijay Singh said.
“Anna expanding his Committee to include Dalit Tribals Muslims and Youth. Vote Bank? Political ambitions? Reservation quota? May be!” he commented.
Hazare Monday said he had plans to restructure his core committee and it will have representation from all sections of society.
He also asked Hazare to clarify his stand on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray’s stand against north Indians, stating that he had supported Thackeray earlier.
“Anna should also clarify what he has to say about Raj Thackeray’s statement against North Indians. He had supported Raj Thackeray on this issue,” he said.
The Congress leader, who has been vocal in attacking Team Anna, earlier alleged links between him and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
