Dick Cheney Is Now Feeling Better: Liz Cheney

dick-cheney-heart-attack June 28, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The last weekend was very bad for the former US Vice President Dick Cheney as he had to be hospitalized following the flaring up of his recurrent heart problems. However, the good news is that Dick is now feeling better and can go back home soon, his daughter Liz Cheney informed.

Dick Cheney is now recovering fast from his latest health scare. On Friday, Dick was hospitalized as he complained discomfort in the chest.

Informing about her father’s health, Liz said, “He is feeling better now and I am sure he can come out of this situation as has always come out of tough situations himself.”

The former Vice President of the US Dick Cheney was admitted to George Washington University Hospital due to progressive retention of fluid, which is related to the coronary artery disease, according to Dick Cheney’s office.

The 69-year-old Dick has already experienced five heart attacks and the latest one was in February. His office has informed that he has been given intravenous medication and his condition has improved now.

Dick Cheney has served as the 46th Vice President of the United States. He was in the post from 2001 to 2009, when George Bush was the President of the United States. Cheney also held the post of chairman and CEO of the Halliburton Company from 1995 to 2000.

Lynne Cheney is the wife of Dick Cheney, who has two children, Elizabeth and Mary. Lynne is an author, public speaker and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
