Washington DC, Feb 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney, was heckled by some of the audience during his speech at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference.

Cheney was on the stage to introduce his colleague in the Bush administration, Donald Rumsfeld when the crowd went wild. Rumsfeld received the “Defender Of The Constitution” award at the conference.

Cheney’s opponents shouted “where’s Bin Laden?” Apparently there were more people that approved the former vice president so they countered with chants of “USA, USA”.

Cheney shot back at the crowd and told them, “sit down and shut up”. Well that got the crowd to sit and keep quiet for sometime but one particular member of the audience refused to sit down. He continually interrupted Cheney with chants of “war criminal,” “murdering scum,” and “draft dodger” before he was taken away by the security at the grounds.

Cheney’s appearance at the conference was shocking to many of the people who had gathered there. Several GOP 2012 hopefuls have descended on the conference to show off their massive following.

There have been several speakers at the conference. Many more will be speaking at the conference today.
