Democrats Of Washington Mourns Elizabeth Edwards’ Death

Dec 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former US Senator John Edwards’ estranged wife Elizabeth Edwards breathed her last on Tuesday. The best selling author was surrounded by her friends and family members at the time of her death. Condolences are pouring in after her family released the news of her unfortunate demise owing to her breast cancer. Even the Democrats of Washington mourned the death of of such a brave figure on Tuesday.
US President expressed his condolence at the death of Elizabeth Edwards. The US president said that he spoke with her daughter Cate Edwards and her husband John Edwards on the phone. President Barack Obama said that United States has benefited from Elizabeth Edwards’ relentless efforts on health care reform. President Barack Obama released a statement on Tuesday where he called Elizabeth Edwards a “tenacious advocate”. He said that the late author gave her voice to build a society that would look after the downtrodden people. Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader also remembered her work and said that Elizabeth Edwards presence will be missed by everyone as she devoted half of her life for people who needed an “advocate”. He even said that Elizabeth Edwards has inspired million people with her optimism and grace by sharing her own personal experience to comfort others.
Vice President Joseph Biden remembered Elizabeth Edwards by saying that she was an inspiration to everyone who knew her personally and even those who have heard about her. Joseph Biden also said that the late author fought bravely against a ravaging and terrible disease that claims to many lives everyday. The Vice President extended his condolence to her family during their painful and difficult time.
