Delhi Metro’s Phase-III gets cabinet nod
October 11th, 2010 - 8:00 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) The Delhi government Monday cleared Phase III of Delhi Metro, paving the way for adding nearly 70 km to the transport system.
Government source said six corridors were approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
Two of the corridors link Noida Sector 18 in Uttar Pradesh to Janakpuri in west Delhi and Rajouri Garden also in west Delhi to Dhaula Kuan in south Delhi.
The third phase, at a proposed cost of Rs.2,468 crore, is likely to be completed within five years.
