New Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS) The Delhi assembly Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, described as “the leader other leaders love” by Newsweek magazine, on his leadership.
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said the house congratulated Manmohan Singh on his leadership.
However, Leader of Opposition V.K. Malhotra said the central government had failed on fronts like law and order.
Manmohan Singh tops Newsweek magazine’s list of 10 world leaders who have won respect and is described as “the leader other leaders love”, though India figures at 78th place in the list of 100 best countries.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sahib Singh Chauhan said the fact that India stands 78th in the list of 100 countries is a matter of shame.
