Deem And Pass Washington, Mar 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American Democrat leaders have announced their plans of introducing a new parliamentary procedure called “deem and pass” which shall give the health care proposal formally suggested by the American President a stern push. Although no official announcement regarding the implication or imposition of the bill has been made, the House is reported to have called off Republican attempts for off limits. “Deem and Pass” proclaims that a rule that has been employed numerous times in the recent past shall be void to pass legislation which will be containing some significant changes called “fixes” in accordance to the version of the health care reform bill that the Senate house had adopted in December last year.

The obvious catch? If the fixed bill is passed then the Senate bill should also pass alongside which will be a disaster since it won’t require any formal votes from the lower chambers. That is exactly why Republicans are going furious, which is evident in the words of Representative Ed Whitfield, Kentucky 1st District.

Ed Whitfield said that he believes that if such a legislation is passed then it shall have a drastic effect that won’t be concentrated to a particular corner but will affect America in totality. Following Representative Ed Whitfield was Representative John Shimkus, Illinois 19th District. Refuting Representative Ed Whitfield”s argument was Representative Baron Hill who claimed that the vote is extremely important for passage of health insurance legislation. Considering all there are two possible outcomes: firstly this will have all Democrats calling for a vote upon the Senate bill which is immensely infamous as to not even withstand the mandatory 216. Secondly, Senate will now have to vote upon “fix-it bill” that dotes over only 50 votes to pass.
