CWC meeting begins

New Delhi, June 25 (IANS) The Congress Working Committee - the party’s apex decision-making body - began its meeting here Monday. The meeting has been convened to bid farewell to the party’s veteran leader and presidential candidate Pranab Mukharjee.
Besides Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, other senior Congress leaders were present in the meeting. With this meeting, the curtains will formally come down on Mukherjee’s nearly five-decade-long association with Congress.
