Court permits Hazare fast at MMRDA Ground
December 23rd, 2011 - 5:49 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) The Bombay High Court Friday allowed Team Anna to hold its proposed agitation at the MMRDA Grounds in suburban Bandra-Kurla Complex at concessional rates, entailing savings of nearly Rs.450,000, an India Against Corruption (IAC) official said here.
IAC member Mayank Gandhi said that following the court?s order, the IAC would now re-apply through another registered organization to book the venue for the agitation scheduled Dec 27-31.
Gandhi said the MMRDA (Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority) has also agreed to give concessional rates for the venue whereby the organizers will pay to MMRDA around Rs.6,80,000 instead of Rs.11,80,000, plus heavy deposits, for the venue.
