Counting at Stalin’s constituency starts again
May 13th, 2011 - 11:12 pm ICT by IANSChennai, May 13 (IANS) Counting of votes in Tamil Nadu’s Kolathur constituency from where Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is contesting resumed after being suspended for sometime, officials said Friday
It was a see-saw battle between Stalin and his AIADMK rival Saidai A. Duraisamy ever since counting began Friday morning.
Speaking to IANS on the condition of anonymity, an Election Commission official said: “The counting was stopped in Kolathur due to arguments between the representatives of AIADMK and the DMK candidates at the centre.”
Another official said everything is under control and counting is on.
Stalin is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief M. Karunanidhi.
