Congress will pay price for Amarnath land move: AdvaniJuly 1st, 2008 - 1:26 am ICT by IANS
Bhopal, June 30 (IANS) The Congress party will have to pay the price for “opposing” land allotment to Amarnath shrine authorities in Jammu and Kashmir, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani said here Monday. The land allotment to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) would definitely be one of the main issues during the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Advani told reporters after the launch of the Hindi version of his autobiography “Mera Desh Mera Jeevan” (My Country My Life).
“Initially it looked as if only the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was opposing the allotment but now it is clear that the Congress too is opposed to it,” Advani said.
“The Congress and its allies would have to pay the price for it during the elections.”
