New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) The Congress said Wednesday it would bring a “chargesheet” against Uttar Pradesh’s Mayawati government by collecting details of corruption allegations against the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party functionaries in each block of the state.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, who is in charge of Uttar Pradesh, said here Wednesday that the party will undertake a year-long “yatra” (march) from Dec 28 this year in all the blocks of the state to collect information about allegations of corruption against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MPs and legislators.
He said the “chargesheet” will be released ahead of the assembly polls in the state slated for 2012.
The state Congress unit will also undertake the second phase of ‘Sandesh Yatra’ from Oct 2 to Nov 10.
The yatra will highlight the performance of the Congress-led governments at the centre besides the “failures” of the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh.
