- Rohtak (Haryana), Jan 4 (IANS) Congress legislators in Haryana who do not devote adequate time to their constituencies and people could be denied the party ticket in the next assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said Sunday.”The party ticket is given by the high command. I had recently raised the issue at a party meeting in Chandigarh that legislators must go to people in their respective constituencies and remove grievances of people. Non-delivering legislators could be deprived of the party ticket next time,” Hooda told reporters here.
Moti Lal Vora, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and in charge for Haryana, last week told ministers and party legislators that their performance was being evaluated and the ticket would be given only to the deserving ones.
Assembly polls in the state are scheduled in February next year.
