Chidambaram meets Chavan on Maharashtra security

Mumbai, Sep 12 (IANS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram met Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, members of his cabinet and top police officers of the state Monday evening to review security in the state, sources said.
State Home Minister R.R. Patil and Additional Chief Secretary (Home) U.C. Sarangi were also present.
However, officials refused to divulge more details.
“It is an internal review meeting. We will not divulge any more information at this moment,” an official from the chief minister’s office said.
The meeting comes in the wake of the July 13 triple blasts here and the Sep 7 Delhi High Court bombing, both of which are yet to be solved.
