Dec.01, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea Clinton has got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. The couple have been friends as teenagers in Washington but started seeing each other since the year 2005.

The news came to light after the couple had sent e-mails to friends on Thanksgiving holiday revealing their engagement and it was also expressed that the couple were looking forward to tie the knot next summer. At the same time, rumors were circulating last summer that the former first daughter was getting married in August after getting secretly engaged. However, then Chelsea had promptly brushed away the rumors and even in the recent e-mail that was sent, the couple proved the rumors wrong as it was mentioned that they plan to marry next summer and are not married as yet. However, this time a spokesperson of former President Bill Clinton Matt McKenna has confirmed the news which ultimately brings an end to all the speculations that have been running high for quite sometime now.

Both Marc and Chelsea have attended the Stanford University and are presently living in New York. 31 year old Marc is a investment banker by profession who works at the prestigious Goldman Sachs. His family has known the Clinton family for years as his parents are also associated with politics. He is the son of former Iowa Rep. Ed Mezvinsky and former Pennsylvania Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky. At the same time, 29 year old Chelsea is currently a graduate student at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.
