Chavan, Ajit Pawar promise ‘clean, transparent’ administration

Mumbai, Nov 11 (IANS) Maharashtra’s newly-appointed Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar assured Thursday that they would strive to provide “a clean and transparent administration” in the state.

Speaking to media persons here after the swearing-in, both said that public expectations were “very high,” but they would not desist from taking “tough decisions”.

“We shall take tough decisions as may be required. We will work for the progress and prosperity of the state,” Chavan said.
