Tallahassee, Apr 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Speculations are high on the decision that Republican Charlie Crist will take on Thursday. Reports claim that Charlie Christ will leave the Republican Party to contest the November Senate election as an independent candidate. Sources close to Governor Charlie Crist have revealed to some media sources that Governor Charlie Crist is planning to distance himself from the party. The Florida Governor will be announcing his decision on Thursday at 5p.m. in St Petersburg. Though rumors are abuzz that he is thinking about a third party candidacy, the Governor of Florida on Wednesday maintained that nothing as such has been decided by him as of yet.
Many people who have known Governor Charlie Crist for years have maintained that it would be wrong to assume that the Governor had already set his mind to run as “people’s Candidate”. According to them, unless Governor Charlie Crist announces his decision in public officially nothing as such could be ascertained. The indecisiveness of the issue has however, not stopped other politicians to speculate the future of the Governor of Florida.
Some media sources reported that Todd Harris and Heath Thompson have speculated on Wednesday that the next day will be the best day of Governor Charlie Crist’s new Campaign. They have said that though at present there is no doubt that Governor Charlie Crist is better known to all than former State House Speaker Marco Rubio of Republican or Representative Kendrick Meek of the Democrats at present, his popularity will likely decrease later on when the others will be known to public as well. They also mentioned that the percentage of unaffiliated voters is under 20 percent and that there is unlikely chances that some voters will abandon there party to vote for a third independent candidate.
