Charles Rangel Steps Down

Washington, Mar 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American Democratic representative Charles Rangel, who has been holding the post of chairman for the House Ways and Means Committee has declared his temporary leave from his influential position. Charles Rangel issued a letter to the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi where he made it clear that he wishes to stay absent from his office until the House Ethics Committee members are done away with their investigation.
The House Ways and Means Committee basically are in the process of writing tax legislation in the country of United States. Charles Rangel was absorbed in as a member in the Order of Jamaica which is regarded to be the fourth highest in bestowing national honor. Charles Rangel was showered with accolades following his outstanding contribution in promoting the Jamaican and Caribbean interests.
Ethics committee is in the process of investigating Charles Rangel’s ownership for numerous rent-controlled apartments in the city of New York. They are also hitting it hard on his failure to settle taxes for an offshore property on rent. Alongside they are also investigating Charles Rangel’s soliciting actions towards heavy donations for public-policy schools carrying his name, where Charles Rangel had made use of his office letter head.
Charles Rangel even took a wrong turn as he came out of a memorial service that was being held for his fellow representative John Murtha. His looks spoke only of his swayed mood and his disturbed soul as the guards of the Capitol witnessed Charles Rangel making the wrong turn towards the uncharted territory of the Senate house. One of the guards came forward to help Charles Rangel head back towards the Statuary Hall, where the memorial service was being held.
