Bullet in bag: Candaian pilot of Gadkari flight arrested

New Delhi, May 24 (IANS) A Canadian pilot of a private air charter company who was about operate a flight to Nagpur carrying Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Tuesday after a live cartridge was found in his baggage.
“Raphael Jose Hubbard, a pilot of Aero Air charter company was arrested at 9 a.m. today (Tuesday) after the the CISF recovered a 7.62 mm bullet in his luggage at the domestic terminal of the airport,” Central Industrial Security Force spokesman Rohit Katiyar told IANS.
“The live cartridge was detected in his baggage during the security check at the general aviation lounge of terminal 1D,” Katiyar added.
After initial questioning, the pilot was handed over to the Delhi Police for further investigations.
“Only a complete probe can reveal the truth,” a BJP official said.
