Lucknow, April 21 (IANS) A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator was Wednesday summoned by the party high command for allegedly making controversial remarks against the BSP government in Uttar Pradesh, informed sources said Wednesday.
Jitendra Singh alias Babloo, who represents the Bikapur assembly constituency in Faizabad district, about 200 km from Lucknow, had said that jobs in the BSP government were given in lieu of money.
“People are well aware about it. Jobs in the present government are provided in lieu of hefty sums of money. Still, I managed to provide jobs to several youths without accepting any graft,” Singh said Tuesday while addressing a gathering at the Sohwal area of his constituency.
“I provided jobs to nearly 150 youth even after facing opposition by a cabinet minister. But, I did not care…I obey the orders of Behenji (Mayawati) only,” he added.
BSP sources said Singh rushed to Lucknow from Faizabad Wednesday to clarify his stand to senior leaders of the party.
