The judicial mgistrate in Hindaun city court directed police to lodge a first information report for mischief, forgery, criminal breach of trust by public servant and criminal conspiracy under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Petitioner Ashok Pathak filed a petition alleging that the minister of state for agriculture and motor garage used his official position to get the mining leases issued on a forest land in 2005.
“Jatav in connivance with forest and mining department officials managed to change the land use of a forest land on the basis of which nine mining leases were issued to his four sons Naveen, Naresh, Surendra and Brijesh,” said petitioner’s lawyer Vikram Pal.
Jatav was the zila head of Karauli district when the alleged fraud took place in 2005, the lawyer added.
