New Delhi, Oct 30 (IANS) The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Thursday called for a thorough probe “impartially and with the same degree of intensity” into all blasts in the country since 2003 for which activists of Hindu groups Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bajrang Dal are allegedly rsponsible. The CPI-M’s demand came in the wake of the arrest of a woman missionery, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, and two RSS workers for the Sep 29 Malegaon blast.

“The recent arrests of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur along with two RSS workers S.B. Sahu and S.S. Kalsangar have reconfirmed the suspicions, raised in the past, concerning RSS-inspired terrorist Hindu militancy,” the party said in an editorial of the upcoming issue of its mouthpiece People’s Democracy.

Referring to various bomb blasts across the country in which the Sangh Parivar is allegedly involved, the CPI-M said: “Internal security of our country can be strengthened only when all such cases are also probed impartially and with the same degree of intensity.”

The Sangh Parivar is allegedly involved “in blasts in 2003, in Parbhani, Jalna and Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra; in 2005, in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh; in 2006, in Nanded; in January 2008, at the RSS office in Tenkasi, Tirunelveli; in August 2008, in Kanpur etc etc,” the CPI-M alleged.

“The time has come for all these cases to be thoroughly investigated and to ensure that the guilty are punished.”

The party also demanded “action against the Bajrang Dal under the Unlawful Activities Act.”
