Lucknow, July 7 (IANS) BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Monday reiterated his party’s stance that the party won’t have any truck with the Bahujan Samaj Party or even the Samajwadi Party in the Lok Sabha elections. Naqvi, who was here to hold a party leaders’ meeting to discuss likely Uttar Pradesh candidates for the general elections, told reporters the National Democratic Alliance, under the BJP, would go it alone.

“Let me make it clear that the BJP will have no alliance with the BSP either ahead of the Lok Sabha elections or after the polls,” Naqvi categorically said. The same held true of SP, he said.

Naqvi said: “Both the parties, BSP and SP, have committed the crime of destroying Uttar Pradesh… and there cannot be any understanding with either of them.”

Asked if his party could come to power without either of them supporting it, he replied: “The NDA, with its present seven parties, is intact and would form the government at the Centre.”
