New Delhi, Aug 25 (IBNS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Arun Shourie has reportedly fallen under the expulsion radar of the party after he dubbed the party’s leadership acting like ‘Humpty Dumpty’ and suggested replacement in the top brass with honest leaders from the states.

“After his (Shourie) comments, his expulsion from the party is imminent,” BJP sources told NDTV on Tuesday.

Asked the reason for Shourie’s sudden outburst, BJP insiders said: “He is upset as his Rajya Sabha term is ending.”

Addressing reporters Monday night, Shourie said: “Bombard the BJP headquarters. Completely eleminate the top leadership and bring ten people from the states who are competent, honest and dedicated and reconstruct immediately.”

Shourie said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) should take over the party and change its top brass completely.

Sniping at party president Rajnath Singh, he called the Uttar Pradesh leader an “Alice in Blunderland” and went on to say: “In my view, the BJP is a kati patang. Unless it is got hold of swiftly by….I don’t see people within the party who now have such authority….if anybody can do it, it is only the RSS (that can do it),” he told reporters.

He said there were people in the party who have “brought about this situation and brought the party to this pass. They are the ones who are hurting the party.”

He said: “So, you want to be Humpty Dumpty and make words mean what you say and act, then I presume you already have.”

Shourie even did not spare leaders like L K Advani on the issue of indiscipline when he said: “They were planting stories for the past five years against each other, including Advani and Rajnath Singh. Is this discipline?” he said.

Shourie said the party is being run like a private property and dared the leadership to expel him.
