BJP legislator accused of threatening official

Patna, Feb 19 (IANS) A case was registered Sunday against Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Anandi Prasad Yadav for allegedly threatening Bihar government officials and disrupting developmental work in Bihar’s Araria district.
Surendra Pandey, a block official, alleged in his FIR against Yadav that the legislator abused him and threatened him to kill if his work was not done immediately.
Araria Superintendent of Police Shivdeep Lande said that police will investigate the matter.
A legislator from Sikti assembly seat in Araria, about 350 km from Patna, Yadav has saw a case lodged against him in the multi-crore Dehti Primary Agriculture Credit Society (PACS) in the district.
