BJP leader shot dead in Bihar

Patna, Nov 6 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Punam Pandey was shot dead by unidentified men in Bihar’s Rohtas district on Diwali night, police said Saturday.
Punam Pandey, BJP vice-president in Rohtas, was killed in front of her residence in Rajapur locality in Sasaram late Friday, when people were busy celebrating Diwali, a police official said.
The killing triggered protests by locals who shouted slogans against police and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
