Lucknow, June 1 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national office bearers will meet here Thursday to shortlist the issues to be taken up during its two-day national executive meeting beginning here Friday, an official said.
“The issues would be primarily related to corruption in the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government, anti-farmer policies, inflation, country’s security and the party’s stand on Ram temple,” BJP state spokesperson Vijay Pathak told reporters here.
The party will also set the agenda for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections scheduled to be held next year, he added.
Over 350 delegates, including party president Nitin Gadkari and senior leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Ravi Shankar Prasad will participate in the executive meeting.
“Some of them would also attend tomorrow’s meet,” said Pathak.
The party president and general secretaries of all the states too will hold a meeting here Sunday after the two-day convention.
