New Delhi, Aug 11 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to come clean on his colleagues after a TV news channel conducted a sting operation purportedly showing how Railway Minister Lalu Prasad misused his position to acquire land for his relative. “The sting operation shows that Lalu Prasad has not only turned around his ministry but his family as well. Lalu, who serves in the backdrop of the fodder scam, has devised ways of selling railway interests,” BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters here.

“We want Prime Minster Manmohan Singh, whose reputation has already taken a beating after the trust vote in parliament, to come clean on his colleagues,” he added.

The BJP spokesman, however, did not press for any probe into the alleged scam nor did he seek the railway minister’s resignation.

According to the channel IBN7, Lalu Prasad misused his official position to help one of his relatives acquire land.

The channel said its investigation shows that Lalu Prasad bought land worth several million rupees for his relatives from those who aspired for a job in the railways.
