Dec 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, an army doctor who was supposed to be deployed to Afghanistan has pleaded guilty for not reporting to Fort Campbell but is not guilty for questioning President Barack Obama’s birth origin. It was certainly an act of flaunting audacity on the part of the military employee who raised questions on the birth of 44th President of the United States. He had said that it was against the laws for some one like Barack Obama to act as the commander-in-chief issuing out orders to the military since he was not born in the United States.
Of the two charges levied against him the army man has accepted only one. Firstly he was accused of raising questions on Barack Obama’s birth place and secondly he was charged of not reporting for his deployment. Lt. Col. Terry Lakin said that since the current US President was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he has no right to order them. Lt. Col. Terry Lakin says that he does not feel guilty for having issued out this question against the President. He was supposed to be deployed to Afghanistan in April as a part of the second tour of his duty. However, the army official never showed his presence at Fort Campbell for which he has pleaded guilty.
Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is one of the “birthers” who demand legal proof the President’s birth origin. During the 2008 Presidential campaign Barack Obama had released a signed copy of his birth certificate. However, the biggest thing that tops the controversy is that the President is not answerable to any one regarding this issue. Terry Lakin in all chances can either land up serving 18 months of prison, or shall be discharged from the army.
